Lots of Dancing

19 Jul

Here’s an update from JazzFest. There were a ton of people there for Friday night (we camp out waaay back from the stage so the kids can run around). Zo and Mesa had a good time (Hope opted to go to Kayla’s house instead). Here they are rockin’ out to the bayou blues of Tab Benoit. Olivia keeps a close eye on ’em…

We also found an ice cream booth, some corn dogs and a kettle corn vendor. (not pictured: the beer garden).

more dancing.

Apparently I’m the last person on YouTube to discover Matt Harding. Pretty cool. His 2008 video is above (if you have a pretty fast connection, it’s way worth watching it in YouTube “high quality”), and here’s 2006:

I learned something reading through Matt Harding’s website. He and I both have a ‘Darwinian tubercle.’ It’s a little deformity of the upper ear lobe–a little extra piece of cartilage. Mine’s on my right ear, and my friend Ben used to make fun of it all the time. Now I know what it is…

No Joe – The official medical term for that ear thing is “Wingen Ears”!

We went to Jazz Fest last night & introduced John & Mary to the opportunities available for free concerts in Sioux Falls. I think they liked it. (Of course, it helped that Famous Dave’s Ribs were avaialble there!)
    Great place to “people watch”!
