Hello, I’m a Mac.
Kind of. I mean I use a MacBook Pro everyday, and have a huge Cupertino crush. It just frickin’ works, you know? But, I haven’t come close to using all the bells and whistles in the 18 months since I crossed from the dark side. I use lots of Google and 37signals tools to get work done instead of the stuff Steve Jobs built in. I haven’t found any magic in the Dashboard, or figured out what the heck Spaces even does. There are plenty of settings and shortcuts that are totally unknown to me.
So, here’s my newest experiment. All Mac, all the time. For at least two weeks. I’ll force myself to try Mail, iCal and Address Book while setting Gmail, GCal and Highrise on the shelf for a bit. I’ll give Keynote and Numbers a test drive, figure out what Bento and Quicksilver really do, and use my free trial of MobileMe. The full awesomeness experience. Or at least I’m being open to that possibility.
I’m not starting yet, so I’d welcome your tips and tricks, please.
