Cheers, Tornados and Tacos

This is a bit late, but I couldn’t find my camera’s USB cord. Saturday morning was the big cheerleading camp. The one that all the girls were eagerly anticipating for a couple weeks. Yes, all three girls. So, as you might guess, Zo was pretty disappointed when she found out the camp was only for kids in school. Her Dad promised to take her there so she could watch. That was a fun-filled three hours. Zo got lots of dancing and cheering in too, along with some coloring and a very frigid trip to the playground. She even snagged a juice box and some fruit snacks–it helped that auntie Jenna was one of the coaches.

After cheer camp, we made some grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup (Zoey’s very 

favorite meal on the planet, after mac and cheese, and right ahead of cheese pizza). Sarah and Kayla hung with us for lunch. By early afternoon, we were off to Sioux Falls. We sent Jaim shopping–by herself–because we love her, while the girls and I hit the Science Discovery Center at the Washington Pavilion. This is us in the Tornado Booth (thanks to the friendly strangers who shot this picture for us). It was some good learning disguised as fun. 

I rounded out the hearts day with a surprise dinner date with all my girls. Another on the list of the five meals Zoey likes is tacos, so we went to a great Mexican joint. The kids were in awe of the never-ending chips and salsa that started the minute we sat down. 

So lucky to love those girls.
